NIKKAH IN ISLAM

Image
This edition of Da’awah Enlightenment was not your everyday lecture on nikaah. It wasn’t to motivate anyone to go tie the knot, and was certainly not a ‘aspire to perspire’ affair. We were all going to get the truth pill and swallow it as bitter as it may be. In a Hadith narrated from Abu Dharr, the Prophet sallah llahu alayhi wa salam said, “……Having intercourse (with one’s wife) is a form of charity.” Some people from among the companions asked, “O Messenger of Allah, if one of us fulfils his desire, is there reward in that?” He replied, “Do you not see that if he does it in a haraam way he will have the burden of sin? So if he does it in a halaal way, he will have a reward for that.”(Narrated by Muslim, 1674) In a society in which fornication has become the order of the day there is no excuse as Muslims to join the wagon. Allah in His infinite wisdom has designed a system to channel one’s desire. A Muslim must have it at the back of the mind that fornication is never an option ...

ICYMI: Characteristics of the Dwellers of Jannah

The Da’wah enlightenment program of the second week in February saw the Lecturer – Ustadh Sulayman Folorunsho, talk about the characteristics of the dwellers of Jannah.  He mentioned that the first characteristic is Faith as explained by the second hadith of An-Nawawi collection. He then proceeded to the other characteristics mentioned in the subsequent verses. Umar-Farouq Adeb...

Another edition of the MSSNUCH da’wah enlightenment program was held on Wednesday, 26th of January 2022 With its dignified lecturer (Ustaadh Ibrahim Aikoore) explaining the importance of Salah(prayer) and the rulings on whoever abandons it.  An awe-inspiring justice was made to the topic by the lecturer as we came to understand that salah literarily means Du’aa(supplication), and it’s an act of worship which collectively engages the heart, mouth, and limbs and in some cases may involves money. Also, Salah is the second most important pillar of Islam after the Shahaadah and the major difference between a Muslim and kaafir(unbeliever). Sadly, many Muslims today totally abandons this major act of worship or performs it with utmost negligence. The crucial state of salaah in Islam had been accentuated with the saying of the prophet ﷺ which commands us not to rebel against a tyrant Muslim ruler who oppresses and abuses the Muslims if he says his salaah. Also, with the Nabiyy on hi...
